Editorial Policy

At Bonus Bank Daily, we believe that finding a great sign-up bonus should be simple, honest, and stress-free. Every listing on this site goes through a verification process before it reaches you. This page explains how we find bonuses, what we look for, and what we intentionally leave out.

How We Find Sign-Up Bonuses

We monitor hundreds of banks, credit unions, brokerages, fintech apps, and credit card issuers every day. Our process combines automated tracking tools with hands-on editorial review to make sure each bonus is real, current, and worth your time.

When we identify a potential bonus, we run it through several checks before publishing:

Financial Institution Verification

We only list bonuses from legitimate, established financial institutions. Every bank, credit union, and brokerage we feature is verified through public regulatory databases. We check that the institution is FDIC-insured (for banks), SIPC-protected (for brokerages), or otherwise properly regulated. If we cannot confirm an institution’s legitimacy, the bonus does not get listed.

Terms Review

Before publishing any bonus, we read the full terms and conditions. We look for minimum deposit requirements, direct deposit stipulations, account maintenance fees, early closure penalties, and bonus payout timelines. If the terms contain conditions that make the bonus impractical or misleading — such as requiring an unreasonably high balance for an extended period — we either note those conditions clearly or skip the offer entirely.

Eligibility Checks

Many sign-up bonuses are restricted to new customers, specific states, or certain account types. We verify these eligibility requirements and include them in every listing. If a bonus is only available in certain states, we say so. If it requires that you have not held an account with the institution in the past 12 months, we note that. Our goal is to make sure you know exactly what it takes to qualify before you click.

Link Testing

Every bonus link is tested before publication. We click through to the institution’s page to confirm the offer is live, the bonus amount matches what we’re reporting, and the link lands on the correct application page — not a generic homepage or an unrelated product. If a link doesn’t work or leads somewhere unexpected, the bonus doesn’t get listed.

What We Exclude

Not every bonus makes the cut. We intentionally filter out listings that could waste your time, cost you money, or mislead you. Here is what we leave out:

Expired Offers

We actively monitor our published bonuses and remove them when they expire. Our system flags listings that have passed their end date, and we manually review bonuses that are reported as no longer available. If you ever find an expired offer on our site, please let us know through our Contact page and we will take care of it.

Misleading Terms

Some institutions advertise eye-catching bonus amounts but bury restrictive conditions in the fine print — like requiring a $100,000 deposit for a $200 bonus, or imposing fees that eat into the reward. We watch for these tactics and exclude offers where the real value does not match the headline. If the math does not work in your favor, the bonus does not get published.

Unverified Institutions

We do not list bonuses from institutions we cannot independently verify. If a company lacks proper regulatory oversight, has a pattern of consumer complaints, or does not provide clear information about its operations, we skip it. Your financial security matters more than listing volume.

Subscription and Fee Traps

We exclude offers that require you to maintain expensive subscription services, pay ongoing monthly fees that exceed the bonus value, or commit to products you would not otherwise want. If an offer’s true cost outweighs the bonus, we do not feature it.

Referral-Only Offers

Some bonuses are only available through personal referral links from existing customers. Unless the institution also offers the same bonus through a public link that anyone can access, we do not list referral-only deals. Every bonus on our site should be accessible to every eligible reader.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Affiliate Links

Some of the links on Bonus Bank Daily are affiliate links. This means that if you click through and open an account, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how we keep the site running and free to use.

Affiliate relationships never influence which bonuses we choose to feature. We apply the same verification process to every offer regardless of whether it includes an affiliate commission. We frequently publish bonuses that earn us nothing because they are genuinely good offers that our readers should know about.

Editorial Independence

No bank, brokerage, or financial institution can pay to have a bonus featured on Bonus Bank Daily. Our listings are selected based on value to readers, not on business relationships. We do not accept sponsored placements in our bonus listings, and we do not give preferential treatment to any institution.

Corrections

If we make an error — a wrong bonus amount, incorrect eligibility requirements, or a broken link — we correct it as quickly as possible. We do not quietly edit mistakes; we fix them and make sure the updated information is accurate. If you spot something that does not look right, please reach out to us.

How You Can Help

We do our best to keep every listing accurate and current, but the financial landscape moves fast. If you find a bonus that has expired, a link that is broken, or terms that have changed, let us know. Your feedback makes Bonus Bank Daily better for everyone.

You can report issues or suggest bonuses through our Contact page.
